downtown after dark celebrates the beauty and the bittersweet of downtown
new york bohemian nightlife and its denizens from its start at pfaff's
in the 1850s to the present. it's especially fitting to start this issue
with walt's place in 2005, the 150th anniversary of leaves of grass.
