these images were all shot on the bowery by stephanie chernikowski for her and our pleasure, and more recently for pixlife too. steph, incipient hipster who after one kiss from elvis presley soon drove to new york, then moved into a loft on the bowery where she still lives. these images of people, clubs, streets, homes, and workspaces, taken over a course of time in black & white and in color, capture the grace and charm of this fabled, very real, life supportive, culturally rich, and most bohemian boulevard.
